Master Gardeners Lecture: “Green Initiatives at Crossroads”
March 14, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:40 pm
The Door County Master Gardeners Association announces its 6th free
public program, “Green Initiatives at Crossroads.” It will be held on
Tuesday March 14, 2017 at 7H00PM at Crossroads at Big Creek. For the last
15 years, Crossroads has been offering programs on “going green,” but
realized that if they really believed in living in an environmentally
responsible way, they would have to demonstrate that it can be done. This
program will cover their green initiatives ranging from safe lawns and
pollinator-friendly landscaping to the use of alternative energy and the
environmentally responsible parking lot expansion. Coggin Herringa,
Crossroads Director, will discuss the new Bird and Butterfly Garden and
Rich Propsom, Facilities and Grounds Manager, will explain the parking lot
plans and other initiatives.
