Master Gardener Lecture: “Tools, Tricks, Tried and True”

March 7, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Door County Master Gardeners Association announces “Tools, Tricks, Tried and True” on March 7, 2017 at 7:00PM at Crossroads at Big Creek. This program is free and open to the public.  Jason Feldman will share some of the tools he uses that make gardening easier, tricks he and his staff have learned, and also some things that we should be practicing as gardeners.  He notes that his thoughts and words may come in conflict with ideas and practices we have been using in our gardens for many years.  He welcomes questions, hoping that through discussion we can find common ground.

Jason, owner and lead designer for Jason Feldman Landscapes LLC has been involved in horticulture since childhood. His grandfather’s family ran a 200-acre nursery and greenhouse operation in the Lake Geneva area from 1950-1985.  Jason’s business is entering its 6th season in Door County.  He has redesigned and installed the Sturgeon Bay Library plantings, the prairie section and native plantings of the new YMCA park, and the spiritual campus of Hope Church.  Jason truly enjoys his interaction with his clients and the pleasure that comes from caring for the environments he has created.
