The founders organized the Sturgeon Bay Education Foundation and began searching for land

1992

SBEF purchased 53.3acres at the intersection of 42/57 and County TT

1993

25 acres purchased.
Door County Historical Society leased parcel to create The Historical Village
Kohl Fish House moved to The Historical Village

1994

Parking Lot paved.
Ponds created.
Prairie Planted

1995

The Vignes School moved to The Historical Village

1997-1998

Leif Everson ObservatoryThe Leif Everson Observatory built

1998

Tom Pinney donated a 4.5 ace parcel
16 acres on the north boundary purchased
17 aces along Big Creek purchased

1999

Heritage Garden established by the Sturgeon Bay Home and Garden Club

2000

Construction started on Collins Learning Center
Peterson Feed and Seed Building moved to The Historical Village

2001

Crossroads becomes an independent 501 (c)3 organization

The Warren House is moved to the Historical Village

Greene General Store constructed in The Historical Village

The Schopf House is moved to the Historical Village

2006

Construction begins on the Ray and Ruthie Stonecipher Astronomy Center

2007

Door County Historical Society begin restoration efforts on Hanson House

2008
